HUAI KUAN CHUNG 鍾懷寬

Huai Kuan Chung is the the cofounder of VAST RANGE PRACTICE. He graduated from Columbia University’s GSAPP Architecture & Urban Design program in 2017, where he received the Visualization Award upon graduation. His work focuses on architecture and socially-driven design projects at an urban scale.

His professional experience includes working with Sidewalk Labs (Sidewalk Toronto), Scape Landscape Architecture Design Firm (Public Sediment: Resilient By Design Challenge & Ecological Citizens: Venice Architecture Biennale), and KPF (Satcom Tower & TCC Hoping).

In 2017, Huai Kuan served as a teaching fellow in Columbia University’s GSAPP Architecture & Urban Design program, assisting with the “Reading New York Urbanism” course. He was also invited to lecture in Amman, Jordan, on his urban design project “Borderfield.”

Having collaborated with some of the most innovative teams, Huai Kuan is primarily interested in exploring the future of architecture and urban design, as well as the evolving roles of designers. He has developed unique skills and expertise through a combination of professional and academic experiences.

SHUMAN WU 吳舒曼

Shuman Wu is the cofounder of VAST RANGE PRACTICE. Her interests and experiences spans urban design, architecture, interior, and furniture design.

She believes that the ties among various design disciplines are subtle yet profound, and the design of the physical world is finite but unbounded.

Prior to founding VAST RANGE PRACTICE, Shuman has led the efforts to carry out design development for significant transit-oriented development (TOD) projects, resiliency projects, architecture projects, and strategic planning projects in diverse urban contexts, including the U.S., China, and South East Asia. She has played a crucial role on design teams that have won reputable awards in the industry.

Shuman received her Master of Science degree in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University with the Lucille Smyser Lowenfish Memorial Prize. Her work has garnered international awards and exhibition recognition.
